About Port Soller

One of the island´s best kept secrets, until recently

As with many of the seaside resorts on Mallorca, the Port of Sóller was originally a small fishing village. The horseshoe bay is bordered by a sandy beach, lined by a pedestrian promenade with an endless stretch of bars, restaurants, shops, and the occasional hotel. One of the most famous hotels on the island, the Jumeirah, prides itself as being one of the most luxurious places to stain in Europe. For those who enjoy exploring, the 17th century Torre Picada, once a watchtower, gives you some of the best views of the Port of Sóller and the surrounding countryside. The patron saint of Sóller, Saint Bartholomew, is celebrated on 24th August. The battle of the Moors and Christians is reenacted during the second week of May. If you are lucky enough to be here then, you can expect to see brightly coloured pirates arriving on boats with their guns and wooden swords. The Christians manage to fight them off every year, but the day is a spectacle of noise, colour, fireworks and fun! We also deliver and collect from Palma Airport
